BALI, DICTUM – The unveiling of the 5-star Anantara Dragon Seseh Resort & Residences took place at the Morabito Art Villa in Canggu, offering the first glimpse into a new landmark project in Bali. Anantara Dragon Seseh Resort & Residences is a five-star beachfront development, featuring an extraordinary dragon-shaped design, cocoon-style residences, and elevated infrastructure.
The project is inspired by the Balinese legend of the Naga Dragon – a dragon who guards the people of Bali. Symbolically, the dragon theme became central to the project’s launch event.
The event brought together over three hundred industry leaders in real estate, including top agencies, influencers, and developers, highlighting its significance within the sector. The central dragon theme of the evening was intricately woven into every aspect of the event, from the spectacular fire show to the impressive decorations. Hostesses welcomed guests with cards for future apartments, cleverly hidden in specially crafted dragon eggs.

Guests experienced special fire and digital shows, interactive zones with an animated dragon accompanied by custom sound design, sound healing, and live music performances. They indulged in gourmet cuisine with special dragon fruit-based drinks and snacks, fine wines, and an insightful presentation, while networking with like-minded guests and industry experts.
The highlight of the event began with a traditional Balinese dragon dance and continued with an impressive show on seven large digital screens, narrating the story of the brand collaboration and the legend of the project. The show culminated with an awe-inspiring flight of the dragon across all the screens, accompanied by striking special effects and the ceremonial unveiling of the project model.
Honouring the event with his presence and delivering a welcoming speech, the honourable guest, Bendesa Agung Ida Pangelingsir Agung Putra Sukahet, emphasised the project’s prospects and significance for the island.
“As the chairman of the inter-religion forum in Bali, I believe the Anantara Dragon Hotel & Resort project, led by the esteemed Taryan Group, will not only enhance Bali’s tourism but also uphold and support our traditional culture and environment.”
The author of the striking dragon-shaped architecture and Cocoon concept of residences is renowned British architect John Dawes. He is shared the idea and sources of inspiration behind the project:
“We created Anantara Dragon Seseh Resort & Residences purely inspired by what we feel here. The design, the concept, and the philosophy—when we think about them, we think of the dragons that are said to protect the island. This idea was a major source of inspiration for us. As we worked with this concept, we found ourselves surrounded by the island’s natural beauty—from the stunning sunrises to the glorious sunsets, all framed by this living painting, this piece of living art. It almost feels like a piece of living sculpture”.
Notably, the project has already been honoured with two esteemed titles at the Real Estate Asia Awards 2024: Luxury Residential Development of the Year and Resort Estate Project of the Year.
